Every once in a while, a guitar collaboration feels less like a marketing idea and more like a natural meeting of musical minds. That’s exactly the case with the Ben Harper Gold Label 512e Special Edition from Taylor.

For decades, Danelectro has built a reputation for doing things a little differently. From Masonite construction and lipstick pickups to unmistakable retro styling, Danelectro guitars have always had a voice—and a look—all their own.

Few instruments in music history have had the cultural impact of the Fender Telecaster. Introduced in the early 1950s, the Telecaster helped define the sound of modern electric guitar—appearing on countless records across country, rock, blues, pop, and beyond. In 2026, Fender is celebrating 75 years of the Telecaster, marking one of the most important milestones in the history of the electric guitar.

Taylor has unveiled a stunning new lineup of acoustic guitars finished in a warm, vintage-inspired Honeyburst, and they’ve already started turning heads here at Detroit Guitar. Blending classic aesthetics with modern Taylor craftsmanship, these Special Edition models deliver the playability, clarity, and reliability players expect from one of the world’s most respected acoustic builders.

We’re proud to officially announce that Detroit Guitar is now an authorized dealer for Nik Huber Guitars — and the only dealer in Michigan representing this world-class German builder.

Taylor didn’t set out to reinvent the Grand Auditorium — they refined it. The Next Generation series feels less like a routine update and more like a careful evolution of one of the most popular acoustic body styles ever made. The focus is simple: better tone, better feel, and better performance in real-world playing situations. New bracing, a redesigned neck system, and an entirely new pickup platform work together to make these guitars feel familiar in the best way, but noticeably improved the moment you sit down with one.
