Vintage 1979 Music Man Sabre Bass Owned by Rich Cole from The Romantics

This 1979 Music Man Sabre Bass carries a direct connection to Detroit rock history through its former owner, Rich Cole of The Romantics. Refinished in hot pink to match the band’s visual style, it has a distinctive identity tied to the musician who owned it.

An early example from Music Man’s pre-Ernie Ball era, the Sabre expanded on the StingRay concept with two humbucking pickups and additional tonal options. Its bold refinish and Rich Cole connection give this bass an appeal that extends beyond its vintage pedigree.
