Brian Setzer has left an undeniable mark on modern music, from reigniting rockabilly with the Stray Cats to bringing big band swing back into the spotlight with the Brian Setzer Orchestra. The Gretsch G6120T-BSSMK Brian Setzer Signature Nashville Hollow Body '59 "Smoke" pays tribute to the legendary guitarist's longtime stage companion, faithfully recreating the instrument that became his primary guitar after retiring the iconic "Stray Cat."
Built with period-correct appointments throughout, the "Smoke" captures the unmistakable look and feel of a vintage 1959 Nashville while incorporating refinements developed over decades of touring. A laminated maple hollow body with 1959 trestle bracing delivers the lively resonance Gretsch is known for, while the vintage "V" maple neck and compound-radius ebony fingerboard provide exceptional comfort for everything from classic rhythm work to blazing lead lines. Finished in a stunning Smoke Orange semi-gloss lacquer, this signature model looks every bit as timeless as it sounds.
