The PRS DGT (David Grissom Trem) is the result of more than 20 years of collaboration between Paul Reed Smith and guitarist David Grissom. Based on the McCarty platform, the DGT incorporates Grissom-specific details including a unique DGT neck shape, taller frets, specially voiced pickups, and a revised control layout designed around the needs of a working player.

Thia 2022 Wood Library DGT featuring a maple "10" top and mahogany back are paired with a torrefied maple neck and Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, while a 25" scale length and 10" fingerboard radius provide the foundation for its familiar PRS feel. PRS DGT humbuckers were developed after extensive pickup testing between Grissom and Paul Reed Smith, and individual volume controls with a push/pull master tone provide access to both humbucker and single-coil sounds. A PRS Gen III tremolo and Phase III tuners with faux-bone buttons complete the hardware package.
