This 2012 Nik Huber Orca ’59 is a serious player’s instrument built with old-world craftsmanship and unmistakable vintage influence. Modeled after the golden-era single cut formula but refined through Nik Huber’s meticulous German build standards, the Orca ’59 delivers the feel, resonance, and tonal depth that players chase in late-’50s-style guitars—without the guesswork.
Built with a mahogany body and neck, topped with Eastern curly maple, this guitar pairs warmth and midrange richness with clarity and articulation on top. The Brazilian rosewood fingerboard adds snap, complexity, and a glassy high-end response that elevates the entire instrument. Outfitted with ’59-voiced humbuckers, it delivers open, dynamic PAF-style tones that clean up beautifully and push an amp with smooth, harmonic overdrive. The open-pore back finish adds to its organic resonance and tactile feel. This is a boutique-level single cut with real vintage character—highly collectible and exceptionally musical.
