The Gibson G-45 brings a fresh approach to the classic round-shoulder acoustic, pairing traditional Gibson construction with the distinctive Player Port. Originally conceived by Gibson in the early 1960s and refined for the Generation Collection, the Player Port directs more of the guitar’s sound toward the player, creating a more immersive playing experience.
Handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana, the G-45 features a solid Sitka spruce top with solid walnut back and sides for a crisp, resonant voice. Its slightly thinner round-shoulder body is designed for comfortable playing, while the utile neck and Advanced Response profile provide an easy, familiar feel. An ebony fingerboard, TUSQ nut and saddle, and Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners round out the design.
