The Next Generation 712ce pairs Taylor's compact Grand Concert body with a solid Western Red cedar top and solid Indian rosewood back and sides, giving it a warm, sweet voice with rich overtone bloom and a clear, balanced response. The smaller body size makes it especially comfortable in the lap, while the cedar and rosewood combination gives it a dynamic, expressive feel that works beautifully for fingerstyle, light strumming, and players who want a more intimate acoustic voice.

Taylor's Next Generation updates bring a lot of modern refinement to this 700 Series model. Scalloped V-Class bracing adds low-end presence, volume, and sustain, while the Action Control Neck allows for quick, precise action adjustment without taking the guitar apart. The Venetian cutaway keeps the upper register easily accessible, and the Claria Acoustic Pickup System gives the 712ce a clean, natural amplified sound when it's time to plug in.
