The Taylor Builder’s Edition 814ce LTD Macassar Ebony is a limited-production Grand Auditorium that pairs a powerhouse top with one of Taylor’s most visually arresting back-and-side sets—built for players who want boutique looks, big dynamic range, and a truly refined feel in-hand.
This model matches an Adirondack spruce top with stunning Macassar ebony back and sides, delivering robust low-end depth, clear and vibrant trebles, and a slightly scooped midrange that stays articulate even when you dig in.
True to the Builder’s Edition concept, comfort and playability are front and center: chamfered body edges, a beveled armrest, and Taylor’s beveled cutaway make the guitar feel sleek and effortless across the full neck. And with Taylor’s Next Generation upgrades like the Action Control Neck and scalloped V-Class bracing, you get extra responsiveness, sustain, and a confident, “bigger than expected” Grand Auditorium voice.
