The Martin DSS-16E 1935 Burst brings a bold new voice to the refreshed 16 Series, combining vintage-inspired style with a warm, focused tonal character. Its slope-shoulder Dreadnought body pairs a gloss spruce top in a striking 1935 Burst finish with satin solid mahogany back and sides, delivering punchy mids, strong treble response and a focused low end that sits comfortably in a mix.

For the first time, this slope-shoulder Dreadnought design is paired with a short 24.9" scale length for a more relaxed playing feel. Forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing enhances resonance and bass response, while L.R. Baggs Element electronics make it easy to bring its natural character to an amplified setting.
