The Martin 012-28 Modern Deluxe brings the familiar depth and detail of Style 28 construction into a compact twelve-fret Concert body. Its European spruce VTS top and East Indian rosewood back and sides produce round bass, clear highs, and a focused response that suits fingerstyle playing, lighter accompaniment, and detailed recording work.

Martin pairs that traditional foundation with several Modern Deluxe upgrades, including Golden Era–scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing with VTS, a lightweight carbon-fiber bridge plate, Liquidmetal bridge pins, and natural protein glue construction. A slightly asymmetrical Vintage Deluxe neck with a High-Performance Taper provides a comfortable feel, while European flamed maple binding, EVO gold frets, gold side-mount tuners, and a stylized script headstock inlay give the guitar a refined finish.
