There’s something undeniably right about a single-pickup Soloist done this well. This Jackson Custom Shop SL1H FR was Masterbuilt by Rob Knowles and finished in Surf Sparkle — a color that feels equal parts SoCal flash and full-throttle stage weapon. Built neck-thru with classic Soloist aggression and modern precision, this is a stripped-down shred machine with zero excess and maximum intent.

The alder body keeps the response tight and balanced, while the quartersawn maple neck-thru construction delivers the sustain and stability Soloists are known for. An ebony fingerboard with abalone sharkfin inlays and Luminlay side dots keeps things fast and visible under stage lights. The reversed in-line pointy headstock, matching painted finish, and Custom Shop detailing complete the look. This is a purpose-built instrument — clean mounted, single humbucker, Floyd-equipped, and unapologetically direct.

If you’re after a no-compromise Custom Shop Soloist with serious presence, this one checks every box.
