The Gibson Southern Jumbo 40s Original brings the character of Gibson's celebrated 1942 round-shoulder acoustic into the modern era.

Featuring a solid Sitka spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides, this premium acoustic delivers powerful projection, rich bass response, sparkling highs, and exceptional dynamic range. The mahogany neck features a comfortable SlimTaper profile, while the rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays captures the distinctive styling of the original Southern Jumbo. Multi-ply body binding, nickel Grover open-back tuners, and a Vintage Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish complete its traditional appearance. Equipped with the Gibson-exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA electronics, the Southern Jumbo 40s Original delivers remarkably natural amplified tone while preserving the warmth and responsiveness of its acoustic voice.
