The 1971 Flying V Medallion is one of the rarest and most collectible variations of the Flying V ever produced. Originally released in extremely limited numbers, this iconic design has become synonymous with hard rock and is forever linked to players like Michael Schenker. Gibson Custom's recreation faithfully captures the spirit and specifications of the original, right down to the individually numbered gold medallion and period-correct appointments.

Built with a thinner two-piece mahogany body and a fast-playing three-piece mahogany neck, the 1971 Flying V Medallion Reissue delivers the unmistakable feel and aggressive aesthetic that made the original so desirable. A pair of Custom Shop T-Top reissue humbuckers provide exceptional clarity, punch, and articulation, making this guitar equally at home with classic rock tones and modern high-gain applications.

With only a few hundred original examples ever produced, the Flying V Medallion remains one of Gibson's most sought-after designs. This VOS reissue offers players and collectors an opportunity to own a faithful recreation of one of the most distinctive Flying Vs ever made.
