Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition George Harrison 1967 Bass VI Bleached 3-Tone Sunburst (Pre-Order)

The Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition George Harrison 1967 Bass VI recreates the sunburst Bass VI Harrison used at Abbey Road Studios, an instrument that became part of the melodic counterpoints and layered arrangements heard throughout his work. Built by the Fender Custom Shop in Corona, California, this limited edition follows the specifications of Harrison’s original and receives Relic aging for the look and feel of an instrument shaped by decades of use.

The two-piece select alder body is finished in Bleached 3-Color Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer, paired with a maple neck shaped to a 1960 Oval “C” profile. A bound 3A rosewood fingerboard features a 7.25" radius, 21 vintage frets and white pearloid block inlays, while the 30" scale length provides the distinctive feel of the Bass VI. Three Custom Shop Hand-Wound Flat Magnet Jaguar pickups are individually controlled by on/off slide switches, with an additional two-position bass-cut “Strangle” circuit. The switch plate even replicates the etchings Harrison made on his original to mark his preferred settings.
