Fender Custom Shop Detroit Guitar Dealer Select '62 Strat HSH FR Heavy Relic Aged Black

This Detroit Guitar Dealer Select ’62 Strat takes our familiar ’60s-inspired platform in a much more aggressive direction. The lightweight-sorted two-piece alder body is finished in Black with a Heavy Relic nitro lacquer treatment, paired with a custom rift-sawn maple neck and dark-sorted AAA rosewood fingerboard. The "adjusted" '60s Oval “C” profile measures .810" at the 1st fret and .940" at the 12th, with a 9.5"–12" compound radius, Narrow Tall 6105 frets, and a reverse headstock.

The HSH setup combines aged DiMarzio DP100 humbuckers in the neck and bridge with our Hand-Wound DG62 middle pickup, controlled by a 5-way switch. A recessed Floyd Rose brings another departure from the traditional ’62 formula, while the swimming-pool pickup route, shielding paint in all cavities, shielded pickup/control route, and fully foil-shielded pickguard carry over the details we specifically designed into the Dealer Select platform.
