The Fender Custom Shop 1966 Jazz Bass Journeyman Relic captures the unmistakable look and feel of a mid-'60s Jazz Bass, finished in classic Black with a Journeyman Relic treatment. Its lightweight-sorted two-piece alder body is paired with a quarter-sawn maple neck and AAA-grade 9mm rosewood fingerboard, combining period-inspired construction with carefully selected materials.
The neck features a '60 Jazz Bass "U" profile measuring .800" at the 1st fret and .970" at the 12th, along with a 7.25" fingerboard radius, 20 frets, bone nut, white pearloid block inlays, and bound fingerboard. A medium-tint nitrocellulose lacquer neck finish complements the aged character of the body, while a second strap button on the headstock adds another vintage-style detail.
A pair of hand-wound '60s Vintage Jazz Bass pickups handles the electronics, while chrome/nickel hardware, a 4-ply tortoise pickguard, black finger rest, and bridge and pickup covers complete the '66-inspired presentation.
