Fender Custom Shop '62 Precision Bass Relic 3-Tone Sunburst Masterbuilt by Greg Fessler

Built by Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilder Greg Fessler, this ’62 Precision Bass pairs an aged 3-Tone Sunburst finish with carefully chosen details that shape its sound and feel. A two-piece alder body, quartersawn maple neck, and Indian rosewood fingerboard establish the foundation, while a Josefina hand-wound ’62 Precision Bass pickup brings a particularly special touch to this Masterbuilt instrument.

The ’60 P-Bass Oval “C” neck measures .790" at the first fret and .990" at the twelfth, offering a slimmer feel near the nut and more substantial depth farther up the neck. A 9.5" fingerboard radius and 20 narrow tall 6105 frets provide comfortable playability, complemented by a 1.750" bone nut and vintage clay dot inlays. The dark-tinted nitrocellulose lacquer neck finish completes the aged appearance.

The Josefina hand-wound split-coil pickup puts the focus on the full-bodied punch and clear articulation that make a Precision Bass so useful across musical styles. Relic-treated hardware, a black/white/black pickguard, and the worn sunburst finish give the instrument a cohesive, played-in character. A Fender Custom Shop brown Precision Bass case is included.
