The Gibson SJ-200 was introduced to the world in 1937 and quickly earned the nickname “the King of the Flat-Tops” due to its physical size, high-quality sound, exceptional projection, and undeniable stage presence.
Epiphone, in collaboration with Gibson Custom, is proud to introduce the 1957 SJ-200 Reissue, an Inspired by Gibson Custom recreation of the majestic 1957 Super Jumbo model, making it more accessible for today’s guitarists to enjoy. The Epiphone 1957 SJ-200 Reissue is packed with vintage-inspired details and features all solid wood construction, including a thermally aged solid Sitka spruce top that is reinforced with scalloped X-bracing, solid figured maple back and sides, multi-ply top and back binding, a two-piece flame maple neck with a walnut stringer, comfortable C profile, and a bound Indian rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl graduated Crown inlays and 20 standard frets.
