Electro-Harmonix Pico Shimmer Cosmic Reverb

The Electro-Harmonix Pico Shimmer packs expansive, atmospheric reverb into an incredibly compact pedal. Building on the shimmer concepts found in EHX’s Oceans reverb pedals, the Pico Shimmer combines reverb, modulation, delay, pitch shifting, and synthesis to create everything from classic shimmering ambience to lush synth-like pads and unpredictable glitch textures.

Three distinct Scenes give the Pico Shimmer its range. Intergalactic combines polyphonic octaves, reverb, modulated delay, compression, and string synthesis for huge cinematic textures. Off-World takes a smoother approach with enhanced delay modulation and vintage synth-inspired sounds, while Etherdust introduces randomized delay times for granular sparkles, stutters, and glitchy echoes.

Blend, Time, Voice, and Tone controls make it easy to shape the effect, with the Voice knob morphing between clean plate reverb, classic shimmer, and ethereal string sounds. Secondary knob functions provide deeper control over reverb mix, delay time, and modulation depth and rate. Pressing and holding the footswitch activates Infinite Reverb on the fly, making it easy to create sustained pads underneath your playing.
