Built by hand in Pittsboro, North Carolina, the Mercury V delivers everything from chimey edge-of-breakup cleans and punchy '70s crunch to harmonically rich lead tones and modern high-gain sounds—all from a compact, gig-friendly package.

At the heart of the Mercury V is an innovative dual-volume preamp design that can operate in either classic parallel mode, reminiscent of jumpered vintage British amps, or cascaded series mode for substantially increased gain and sustain. A three-position Boost switch further expands the amp's tonal range, allowing players to move seamlessly from aggressive '60s-inspired cleans to thick '80s and '90s overdrive textures.

Add in Carr's renowned built-in attenuator, and the Mercury V delivers authentic power tube saturation at virtually any volume level. Loaded with a Celestion Creamback M65 speaker and housed in Carr's beautifully crafted solid North Carolina yellow pine cabinet, the Mercury V offers exceptional resonance, responsiveness, and projection. Tube-driven spring reverb and a post-power amp line out make it equally at home in the studio, on stage, or in a home setup where great tone at manageable volumes is essential.
