PRS Expands the SE Silver Sky Palette with Fresh New Colors
The PRS SE Silver Sky continues to be one of the most exciting and player-friendly guitars in the PRS lineup. For 2025, it’s getting a striking visual refresh with a lineup of brand-new finishes that add even more personality and style to this already beloved model.
Fresh Paint for the Rosewood Crowd
The SE Silver Sky Rosewood now features four bold new solid-color options: Laurel Green, Derby Red, Dandy Lion, and Trad Blue. Each finish brings its own unique character — from the earthy sophistication of Laurel Green to the vibrant punch of Dandy Lion yellow. These colors broaden the palette for players who want their instrument to make just as strong a statement on stage as it does in sound.
John Mayer summed up the inspiration behind the update:
“The new Silver Sky SE lineup features four new colors inspired by traditional American fashion. These are time-tested hues that have been popular through decades, and I’m excited to share them with the world as the latest SE colorways.”
PRS has also confirmed that all of these new Rosewood finishes will be available in both right- and left-handed models, making this update one of the most inclusive expansions yet for the SE Silver Sky.
Bold Finishes for Maple
Alongside the new Rosewood colors, the SE Silver Sky Maple remains available in four sleek finishes of its own: Nylon Blue, Stone Blue, Summit Purple, and Moon White. These Maple models give players the brighter snap and feel of a Maple fingerboard while still delivering the unmistakable tone and playability of the Silver Sky design.
Same Soul, New Style
While the finishes may be new, the guitar itself stays true to what players love about the SE Silver Sky. With its familiar playability, versatile tone, and classic PRS craftsmanship, this refresh is all about giving musicians more ways to express their personal style without changing the core of what makes the Silver Sky such a success.
